Project Overview
As the designated Lead for MNP service delivery readiness, I spearheaded the technical and operational groundwork needed to launch seamless mobile number portability at Vodafone Idea Cellular Ltd. This project empowered millions of users to switch service providers while retaining their mobile identities—a key milestone in telecom customer rights.
Highlights of My Contribution
Single Point of Contact: Owned the entire MNP delivery process, from planning to execution. Coordinated with stakeholders across Network, Intelligent Network (IN), and Revenue Assurance (RA) teams to align cross-functional priorities and ensure all technical and service parameters were met.
Core Technical Implementation: Successfully configured short code 1900, the lifeline for customer portability requests, and managed end-to-end UPC (Unique Porting Code) generation and validation, guaranteeing secure, error-free customer experiences.
Activation Process Coordination: Orchestrated the activation and validation of portability workflows with internal teams, proactively resolving operational challenges to maintain project speed and compliance.
Regulatory & Business Impact: Achieved 100% service readiness well ahead of regulatory deadlines, streamlined activation processes, and set new benchmarks for regulatory project delivery in telecom.
Collaboration & Project Management: Fostered a collaborative project culture, driving high engagement and accountability for results across technical, operational, and compliance functions.
